Ingredients for Cheese Meshaltet
Dough Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup warm water (as needed)

300 grams Almarai Aldemshkieh Cheese
(You may also use Almarai Aldemshkieh cheese or mozzarella, according to your preference.)
For Layering and Brushing
½ cup melted Almarai Aldemshkieh Butter
How to Make Cheese Meshaltet Step by Step
1. Prepare the Dough

In a large bowl, mix the flour with salt and sugar. Gradually add the warm water and knead until you get a smooth and elastic dough.

Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes until it becomes easy to stretch.

2. Layer the Dough

Divide the dough into medium-sized balls. Roll out each ball on a surface lightly greased with Almarai Aldemshkieh  Butter until it becomes very thin.

Brush the surface generously with butter to achieve crispy and flaky layers after baking.

3. Add the Filling

Place a suitable amount of Almarai Aldemshkieh Cheese in the center of the dough, then fold the edges over the filling to form either a round or square shape, according to your preference.

4. Baking

Place the meshaltet in a buttered baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (428°F).

Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
