Ingredients :

For the Fluffy Dough:
All-Purpose Flour: 3 cups (approx. 500g).
Instant Yeast: 1 tablespoon.
Sugar: 2 tablespoons.
Salt: ½ teaspoon.
Almanfoush Fresh Milk (warm): 1 cup.
Vegetable Oil: ¼ cup.
Yogurt (optional, for extra softness): 2 tablespoons.

For the Rich Cheese Filling:
Almanfoush Cream Cheese (or spreadable white cheese): 200g, at room temperature.
Alternatively, use cubes of Almanfoush White Cheese for a more authentic salty flavor.

For the Topping and Serving:
An egg, beaten with a little milk (for the egg wash).
Nigella seeds or sesame seeds for garnish.
Sugar syrup (sheera) or honey to drizzle after baking.

Instructions: Steps to Perfection

Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, mix the yeast, sugar, and a little warm Almanfoush milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy, which indicates the yeast is active.

Prepare the Dough:
In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, oil, and yogurt.
Gradually add the remaining warm milk while kneading for 10 minutes until you get a soft, elastic dough that doesn’t stick.
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for one hour until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling and Shape the Buns:
Once the dough has risen, divide it into small, equal-sized balls.
Flatten each ball in your palm, place a teaspoon of Almanfoush Cream Cheese in the center, and seal it tightly.
Arrange the stuffed balls in a greased round baking pan, leaving a small gap between them. Start from the center and work your way outwards.

Final Proofing and Baking:
Cover the pan and let it rest again for 20 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Brush the tops of the buns with the egg wash, then sprinkle with nigella or sesame seeds.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until they are a beautiful golden brown.

Serving:
As soon as it comes out of the oven, drizzle the beehive with cool sugar syrup or honey.
